From across the Icefields Parkway, the Athabaska Glacier can be seen to flow in a cascade from the Columbia Icefield. High on the left is a small icefield where an avalanche has disturbed the pure white snow in the lower middle section. Pan to the right and the glacier comes into view. The winding road on the left is where tour busses run out to where the SnoCoaches depart for a trip out onto the glacier. A couple of SnoCoaches show up as tiny dark specks in the center of the glacier.
